Kabuli chick peas
The chickpea is an annual legume of the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae.
The wild version of chickpeas (Cicer reticulatum) is only found in parts of what is today southeastern Turkey and adjacent Syria, and it is likely that it was first domesticated there, about 11,000 years ago.
Kabuli are lighter-coloured, larger, and with a smoother coat, and are mainly grown in the Africa, Mediterranean, Southern Europe, Northern Africa, South America, and South Asia.
